Tsinghua Affiliated High School Mixed Chorus won the first prize of the 21st Student Art Festival Choir performance in Haidian District
On February 28, 2018, the results of the 21st Haidian District Student Art Festival Chorus Performance Competition were announced. The Mixed chorus of Tsinghua Affiliated High School won the first prize and will participate in the chorus performance in Beijing in April as the only recommended high school team representing Haidian District。
The Haidian District Choir Performance was held in the Concert Hall of the National Library on November 16, 2017. 60 students from the Mixed Choir of Tsinghua Affiliated High School participated in the competition under the leadership of Ju Hong, He Xiaoyu and Gao Shan。At the competition, the Mixed Choir of Tsinghua Affiliated High School sang two choral works, "Sure on this shining night" and "Snow's Joy", a song of their own choice。With the sound of piano accompaniment, the boys' singing was very amazing as soon as they opened their mouth: full of emotion and introversion, heavy and gentle, standard pronunciation, clear timbre, and stable play。Ju Hong, the conductor, brought the members deeply into the music。Senior 16 piano accompanist Xu Dong's performance was also beautiful and smooth without losing strength, and perfectly integrated with everyone's singing。Finally, Tsinghua High School stood out from many participating teams and won the favor of many judges with its steady and excellent strength。
