The Astronomical Association of the High School attached to Tsinghua University held a partial eclipse observation activity
On December 26, the last solar eclipse of 2019 appeared in the sky。Taking advantage of clear weather and a pleasant lunch break, the Astronomical society set up its telescopes for temporary observations。
At 12:20 p.m., the last morning class at the high school was over。Members of the junior high school have already set up the largest telescope in the club to wait for the eclipse。This is about 30 minutes before the eclipse begins。

At 12:40 p.m., the students and teachers paid attention to the activities of the community and came to the scene one after another。There are also many protective gear for direct observation with the naked eye。

12:54, the first loss begins。A gap in the lower right side of the sun can be clearly seen through the telescope。The number of students present gradually increased, and a long line formed behind the telescope。

At 13:37, the eclipse was nearing completion。Most of the students returned to class in time, and the observation ended。

This partial eclipse begins at about 12:54 and ends at 14:38, with an eclipse of 0.15。Due to the relatively high latitude of Beijing, the effect of this eclipse can only be more clearly observed under the protection of Budd film or filter glass。
The Astronomical Society of the Affiliated High School of Tsinghua University is a science and technology society of the school. With the support of the school, it has achieved good results and social influence for a long time。So far in this semester, a large field observation and three small on-campus observations have been held。At ordinary times, there are well-prepared club classes during the club activities, and the astronomy science knowledge is popularized through the introduction of rich astronomical knowledge。
